The glazing medium is mainly used in oil painting. Its task is to increase the gloss and transparency of the oil paint. It will also reduce the drying time, increase the durability of paints and enhance the thickness of the painted layers. The medium will additionally make the marks left by the bristles disappear. The varnish can be successfully diluted with spirit or turpentine.
